*I must say, solar radiation and such has been a constant interest of mine...
and as an R&D Engineer in light study, can say this is in error.
Garden studies have shown this to be incorrect also. Black also stops the
light frequency which allows weeds to grow. It is all converted to IR. For
max heat. Use black on soil, and clear slightly above it. If you have clear,
better than nothing. Except for the weed issue, clear is very close, about 2
degrees lewss effective only.... The black may SEEM to be reradiating a lot.
This is true. It HAS captured a lot more. This is excess, recapturabe, or
containable to a degree, with a clear cover.
Consider, black as much, inside a greenhouse, the greenhouse acts as the clear
cover. Now contrast that with a greehouse with clear much. Which gets
hotter...
