Hey all.How are you doing? It's HAILING
and SUNNY! OY!!!!!!!!!Need to pick your cloective Brilliant brains here. My
Boyfirend just dismantled his tropical fish tanks(huge) and has a halide light
with a transformer which he swears only cost him about $8 bucks a month to
run about 10 hours a day and is designed to simulate sunlight into the fish
tanks. He wondered about mounting it on the low ceiling of my tiny shed and
using it for my babies. It would not be the same as using the florecent light on
the shelves right above the plants- it would light the whole room- a little shed
about 6 by 6 . I have sheves in there that the plants could sit on and there is
a timer. What do you think- Would this work?- How much light would they need and
what are the downfalls?. Rod says this is the kind of light people
grew pot with back in the 70's but he has never raised anything but tropical
fish so has no clues as to how using one of these lights would differ from
florecent. Board sure is quite- what are you guys up too??????????-Teri PS-I
somehow disabled my spellchecker(!) so pardon my broken english-am a
phoneticaaly challenged.
