Kimberly- Welcome to the list! I offer you one way to provide the cover you
request for your boxes. There covers as designed are a quick and dirty solution
to cold, windy days. The covers will not withstand heavy rains as designed (the
covers as designed will not shed rain well- you will need to tip off the
collected rain or it may tear the plastic covers or flatten your veggies!).
What these covers do well is provide shelter from wind and some cold. The
covers will increase the temperature of the immediate area of your seedlings as
they tend to trap warmth. The covers also tend to maintain a higher level of
humidity and slow your soil's drying out. You will want to be nearby if you have
significant weather changes during the day to lift or drop the covers with
a stick or something so as to regulate the temperature.See the link below for a

If anyone comes up with improvements or other designs I sure would like to
hear about it..
