Sorry I popped off so fast, but I should have realized that as usual,
people were equating Pacific Northwest with the maritime northwest.  Those
of us in the intermountain northwest are usually discounted by national
publishers, so we're used to that.  Our growing conditions, diseases,
soils, insects, etc., are different than those of the Rockies or the
maritime region.

None of the above tomato varieties, for instance, is resistant to curly top
virus which is one of our worst enemies.  Roma VF or not is one of the most
disease susceptible tomatoes I've ever grown, and the taste is pretty poor
(every taste test it's entered in gives it low marks -- that's not just my
opinion).

Viva our different conditions!  They make it possible for me to write a
regional garden column.
