Unfortunately there are lots of cats around who like to sit and dig
in my beds.  They don't  bother the beds if there are plants in them,
but if it's just bare dirt, they think that my raised beds are huge
litter boxes.  Yuck.  Direct seeding doesn't work very well for me as
well because I can never seem to keep the ground moist at all times.
It always dries out on me esp. in the summer.
