Adding pumice to clay soil has been very beneficial for my soil. I
get it from a local farm supply store. It's kind of like a pourous
rock material, and lasts forever. Really helps drainage too. This
same farm supply also suggested tons of organic compost.
Is peat moss a well-draining or moisture retentive substance. If
it's moisture retentive, I wouldn't think it would be good for clay
since clay drains so poorly anyway.
