Remember that you don't need sides for a raised bed. It looks neater, and
helps keep soil in place, but I think that ground cover, flowers etc. would
work. I have raised beds made from 2 x 12, but I dug out the paths, and
tossed the soil on the beds,so I have raised beds in raised beds :-).
