I think your instincts are right. Tilt your beds toward the sun, and tell me
if it works, I might try it next year. :) BTW, I saw a show on cable last
year, called Gardening Naturally... the host recommended chosing a garden
site that was gently sloped south will hasten the season, give better
germination of directly sown seeds and extent the season into the fall...

so you think you have iky weather... I am in the middle of a raging case of
spring fever, but over the last week we had about 6 inches of rain which just
sat and froze because the ground is frozen solid still. then we've had the
full of 2 inches of freezing rain, followed closely by 5 inches of snow... if
you're listening up there .... please make up your MIND!!
