Re: Planting Schedule Posters & Software
As far as yields here is an example:
If I plant 1 bell pepper I can expect let's say 12 peppers per plant.
Then if my garden total were 108 bell pepper plants I could expect
(12x108) peppers. Nothing too fancy. It would require the number of
plants and a field for expected yield for different types of plants.
This field could be filled in by the user under plant information for
the specific varieties they grow.
As far as virtual representation of the garden:
I'm only looking for the kind of thing I get on graph paper with the
plants designated by color or shade codes with a key off to the side.
I guess the software wouldn't matter to someone with under say 100
square feet but once you get bigger, a little help from the computer
will keep me on track to getting the highest yield per square foot.
What would it take to get a program written or modified? I would be
willing to pay up to $50 for a program that would do the things I talked
about so far with a more advanced version fetching $100 that I would
also be willing to pay. How many units would you have to move to make it
happen?
