The book to which Tamara refers is excellent for southern gardeners. It's
good general info, too, if you disregard the recommended varieties for each
veggie. The publisher is Taylor, and I think they have a website. If not,
you can email the author at: wdadams@tamu.edu
and he'll sell you a book. No, I don't have a vested interest, but Bill
Adams is a good friend and a fountain of great information. Plus, he takes
wonderful photos. Chances are you've seen his veggie and fruit photos if
you've thumbed through any garden magazine.
