I just bought a set of heavy duty shelves from Sams ($60) (18" X 48" X 6')
and will mount two 2-bulb 4' 40 watt flourescent fixtures on each shelf.
I can adjust the height of the lamps by mounting them to the holes in the
side supports of the shelves. I like the idea of putting foil in the back
of the shelf since I cannot afford the expensive "gro lights" and this will
maximize my light. I plan to keep the shelf in my kitchen so that the
seeds will be warm enough to generate quickly. My question is: Do I need
to put plastic wrap over each individual tray or would moisture be high
enough if I just taped some flaps of plastic wrap around each shelf. I
though this way it might be easier to water.
Thanks for any suggestions,
