No, it was a garden writers convention. Book and magazine publishers and
editors are party animals, and I found it hard to keep up with them!! I
agree with your take on the National Home Gardening Club. I wrote just the
one article for them, but I was appalled at their blatanent non-stop
marketing tactics. It seems like the magazine is an excuse to sell you tons
of questionable quality stuff. I don't belong--unfortunately, I did
co-author one of their books (Container Gardening), before I knew what they
were about.
