Larry and Kathleen:
I was a member and received the magazine. I have since let my membership lapse,
but not due to displeasure. I simply need the money elsewhere right now. But I
did send in the information to try out products, and they sent me about 20 feet
of plastic edging to try. I put it in, evaluated it, and answered their simple
questionnaire. It is still there, and will probably remain so far into the next
century. Because of this, I have to say that my experience with the magazine was
just fine. I followed their directions to try out products (you have to apply
specially for this procedure), and was only a member for less than a year when I
got sent the edging free. I think they have a good idea on the product tryouts,
though I could live without the sweepstakes. I think their photos of gardens
across the US is neat and cute. Just my two cents...

Hi Kathy,
I also enjoy the magazine, but if their mailings and other "offers" deliver the
same goods as the first delivery, I suspect I'll be sending them a letter -
again. I was offended that they would consider the "garden shears" something
that we would all enjoy. I joined the club for the magazine and the possibility
that I would be able to evaluate some quality garden tools or supplies. I'll
see how it goes in the remaining few months of my membership, but as it stands
now, I figure my membership will be history...
