Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html
Hello All!
This every-other-day sunshine we're getting here
in Maryland has me thinking SPRING and GARDEN! My compost is doing fairly
good and the raised beds are begging for seeds and plants...but I gotta wait a
li'l bit longer.
In the meantime, I'm getting ready to start my
veggie seeds and am looking for some information. Last year I started 90%
of my veggies indoors in February. I used some shelves in the basement
(not too cold down there) with a makeshift arrangement of growlights and
such. This year I've become very tempted to buy a contraption made
specifically for that purpose...something along the lines of what is pictured
here ---> http://www.gardeners.com/floralights.html.
I just can't stand the thought of paying $300-400 for this, especially when I
look back at the success I had last year with my pieced-together shelves!
But I do want something better than last year because I want to move my
operation into a warmer part of the house and it has to look good.
My question - has anybody run across a web site
or other reference that has a blueprint for a seed starting
rack/box/thing??? I've sketched a couple of options (simple enuff) but I'd
like to get some other ideas from somebody who has actually built
one.
Know this was long...sorry. Looking foward to another
fine SQFT Summer!
