Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html
I'm writing an article on using native perennials suited to your region and
want to interview gardeners who have incorporated them into their yards.
I've divided the country into 7 regions--NE, Mid Atlantic, SE, MidWest,
Texas-Oklahoma, NW, SW. All I can offer in return for your wisdom is two
copies of the 2000 Old Farmer's Almanac's Gardener's Companion, in which
your accurate quotes will appear in the article. I live in a prairie state
where purple coneflowers and Queen Anne's Lace are natives, because of their
deep tap roots that enable plants to weather drought, heat and poor soil.
Every region has gems like these. This is what I'm after. So....if you are
interested, please email me at:
doreen@fgi.net
and include your region of the country and a brief rundown on what you grow,
plus a phone number and time of day and/or dates that are convenient for an
interview. I'd appreciate it greatly. I have a feeling that lots of
native perennials are populating square foot gardens across the country.
