Hi All,
We did the same thing _14_ years ago. We never thought we
would be here so long. We used 1x12 cheap, non-treated wood. We added
metal brackets to some of the corners with screws. We had watched Mel
and decided this is the perfect way to start gardening.
Now we are planning to build a house, and we will have a much
larger area. After reading about the blocks, we plan to use them
for the next garden. I am disabled from constant pain and the idea of
being able to sit on the edge of the blocks sounds good! The 1x12s are
not very easy to sit on =;-O ouch. I also will make them about
3'x6' so I can reach across easier.
This list is so great. I have been getting lots of ideas for
my future garden. I am also designing a square foot, raised herb garden
right outside the kitched door.
