Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html
Hello everyone!
I am starting my first garden this year -- square foot! -- and am thinking
about adding an asparagus patch. I am planning on a rectangle of something
like 3' by 14' for the asparagus patch. Any ideas out there?
I am not going to do raised beds, just planks of (untreated) wood in the soil
for the paths. Here are some of my questions:
1. How big is big enough for two people who like asparagus?
2. What sort of crown spacing would work with the Sqft method? 18 inches?
Less?
3. Do rabbits like to eat asparagus? (We have lots of rabbits around here!)
4. Any recommendations on type I should put in?
I'm so glad I found this forum -- always lots of interesting e-mail to read
each morning.
Thanks,
Carol
