Deany deserves high praise. Getting sweet potatoes to do well in chilly
zone 4 is quite a feat. In fact, a big part of one episode of the Victory
Garden was devoted to that very subject 2 years ago, with the black-plastic
method working well for the VG's Boston gardens.
Anybody on the List have any experience growing the white sweet potato
found on Maryland's eastern shore? It's called a Hayman. My inlaws are
big Hayman fans but can't get them in Pennsylvania. I'd be willing to try
growing it if I could.
Said not to be ready to eat much before Thanksgiving....
