Does anyone have any experience with asparagus?
I have been growing 25 asparagus (U157) PLANTS in a 4'X6' bed for three
years. I am very happy with my asparagus bed, and have saffron crocus
growing between the plants. I would try putting all 25 plants in a 4'X4'
bed. I have found that if you have good soil you can often crowd the plants
a little more. I would recommend adding compost and composted manure rather
then sand to your soil. I would not skimp on preparing an asparagus bed as
the asparagus will be there a long time.
