Some people were refering to how difficult it was
to get good cheap timers.  Today at Menards
(Regional hardware store chain) I noticed an 
electronic timer from Whirlpool.  It is intended to
allow you to control when your window A/C is on
so I would assume it has a high current capacity.
But here is the best part.  You can schedule up to
6 on off cycles per day.  It has an LCD display and
costs $15.  Just thought I would mention it.  - Ron S
