Dear fellow gardener,

I am a railroad engineer by trade here in
Canada. I must respond with a warning about
using creosoted railroad ties for raised beds.
Creosote is a toxic substance that will burn
your skin on contact. I would not think to
ingest any foods grown in soil in contact with
crosote. But do not take my word for it. Ask
your local gardeners too. Have a great day.
