Charlie- Thanks for the info on lights. I just finished constructing a new seed-lighting table and will replace my 25-watt bulbs with 40-watt'ers for this spring.

Well my continuing saga of what do for seedling lights is done. I have
brought 3 additional shop lights (I already had one) from wallyworld $7.45
ea. As far as bulbs I finally settled on gro-lux wide spectrum tubes from
Lowe's, they were $4.54 ea which made it slightly more than the 1 warm-1
cool I'd been considering. These bulbs are purported to last thirteen years
based on four hours a day so I figure 50 days at 16 hours a day they'll last
24 years (in other words they'll last longer than I will). Here's the
breakdown for the total light setup.

 4 shoplights.........@ 7.45ea = $29.80
 8 gro=lux tubes......@ 4.54ea = $36.32
40 ft of chain........@ 0.41ft = $16.40
Swag hooks & misc hwd............$11.00

Total............................$93.52

This should accomodate around 100+ plants.

Charlie
