Hi christine
I just down the road in Geelong I know what you mean about getting
you hands on copies of the books but I hadn't try to hard . The main book
seems to be:
Square foot gardening / by Mel Bartholomew ;
Emmaus, Pa. : Rodale Press, c1981. 347 p. : ill. ;
24 cm. ISBN: 0878573402 or 0878573410 (pbk.).
a copy is suppose to be at Burnley hort. collage library on 631.584 BAR . I
have not yet had a chance to get a look at it.Another book talk about a bit
is Organic Gardening Feb 96 This is a magazine, copies of this could be in
one of you local libraries , my local copy is in Torquay hopeful yours will
be closer to you, but what are inter-library loans for. Another very good
source is a web site by Melissa Silvestre
http://www.umsl.edu/~silvest/garden/sqft.html
My garden is still being set up so plants are all over the place and not
fully on the grid system, beside when I went to set up the beds I only had a
metric ruler ;-)
good luck
