That sounds like a better version of what I've been trying to do.
I only had the veggies divided into three:
Heavy feeders, Light feeders, and Legumes.
So you have a heavy feeder like corn or cukes following your
light feeding rooties, which follow your (heavy feeding?)
greens and brassicas, without a legume step in between?
And excuse my ignorance, what are solanums?
Sunset mags and garden book says to follow legumes with
heavy feeders, then light feeders, then back to legumes.
With the SQFT method of adding compost and fertilizer each
time of replanting, your method might be way more
versatile. I'd like to hear more!

Also, anyone who knows what zone Claremont, CA, is can help
me get rid of the question marks on my signature line....
