No problem with potatoes but last year was better.
I grew three types this year all planted as earlies in March.
I am terrible at keeping records so one was a white another a pink
and the third a red skinned.
I havnt grown potatoes as a sqr ft plant but in 3ft wide slightly
raised beds ususally on the surface under black potythene. I am going
to try a sqr ft planting as wella s a Bob Flowerdew tyre tower planting
The crop was affected by the unusually dry late spring early summer
and had a second growth later on. They were golf ball to tennis ball
size which is how I like them and It was only a week ago that we ran
out of stored potatoes.
This years potatoes are out to chit with some well advanced that I
might try a very early planting - nothing to lose.
