Re: Corn spacing, I've had the best luck with one per square, I have grown Sugar Dot Midseason Bicolor corn this way for 3 years and get 1-2 ears per plant. I tried Early Sunglow which is a short variety (4-5 feet) and is recommended, I believe, for the 4 per square method. I was not impressed with the results at 2 per square and haven't tried the 4 per square with this variety. Because I can only devote about 20 square feet to corn, I put the Early Sunglow packet into the "probably won't plant" pile while sorting my seeds recently.

Subject: Paste tomato and corn questions
Hi everyone,
I am planning on planting some paste or roma type tomatoes this year and
I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions. Are these types of
tomatoes determinate or indeterminate or both?
My second question is about corn in the sqft garden. I know it has been
kicked around alot on the list but I don't know what the final outcome
was. Would 2 per sqft be okay? Also any suggestions on a variety?
Thanks,
Richard (zone 6)
