Re: raised beds

Redwood will last the longest. But, it too will eventually rot out. I just
finished digging out and terracing my slope. I used two 2x6 pieces of
redwood stacked and screwed together. The end result was 8 2'x8' beds with a
small 1' step in the middle of them. The other choice is cedar but it is
harder to get and more expensive. Pressure treated wood isn't a good choice
because of the chemicals in it. Old railroad ties are even worse!
