Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html
Is there any website that lists the average date of a last frost in various
regions of the country? The reason I ask is that I've moved from Texas to
Illinois and find it is impossible to get a straight answer on the
frost-free date. I even went to the Illinois Cooperative Extension Service
Office today and asked. The answer they gave was---"In southern Illinois
it's April 5, and in Chicago it's about the end of April." I live 200 miles
south of Chicago and about 140 miles north of the south state border. I've
asked local gardeners, and their answers are very inconsistant--from April
15 to May 15th!! I need some precision!! Also, does anyone in Illinois
have an Internet source for gardening info? The U. of Ill sites are
terrible--all gene-altering and Bt corn agriculture info and nothing on home
gardens. I'm desperate! The Aggie-Hort site in Texas spoiled me.
