Last/First Frost Under Hoops and Cold Frames

Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html

I just added cold frames and hoop houses to my garden and was wondering what
this would do to my frost free dates. In the book, Four Season Harvest, Elliot
Coleman says that if it's 10 degrees out on a cloudy day, that it should get
down to about 28 under the cold frames under the hoop house.

With my frost free being May 15 and first frost Oct 15, I figure this pushes my
dates for frost temps 2 months on both sides of the calendar. Last year I put
tomatoes out under Walls-o-Water's March 15 (while it was snowing) and I had no
problems.

Do you think 2 months on each side is too aggressive?

Of course this means I'm really late planting seeds!

Thanks,

AG
