Thanks you guys!  I had forgotten about swiss chard.  I love it and I've
been racking my brain for some more stuff for my empty squares. I'm into
shade cages, big time, right now, I'll give it a try.  ( I'm assuming it
needs some help in hot weather like lettuce and mine is doing great with
shade cages.
