Re: what do you make your raised beds from?


Hi Barbara,

I believe you could plant whatever you wished in the
blocks holes as long as it didn't have huge root
masses causing it to strangle itself. Temperatures and
moisture may have to be watched a bit closer than in
the main growing area. I have lots of rock garden type
stuff hanging down over the sides and lots of herbs
along the edges. Just have to find which ones can
coexist with whatever else is there.

I use the square foot thing as a guideline but do not
let it dominate how I plant things.
