Alternately, I'd love to hear from folks where the sun bears down so hard that it burns the critters off the leaves. (wanna trade?)

Is organic gardening of flowers appropriate for this list? Will eventually be delving into an herb garden. Immediate problem is 100+ heat index in Dallas. Time of day for watering appears to be a fine art and I hear all manner of advice on this one thing alone. But am not sure of the best solution.

Thanks for your help,

Dear Huck (if that's you're real name!)

Well I would just like to say on behalf of all us gardeners who
either planted late, transplanted early, or live where the sun don't
shine...not only am I jealous and envious but really appreciate how
well you gloat!!!

> Well... re when I start maters... this year from seed 1st week of March,
> and out in the garden fro gallon sized pots by June 7 ... WOW's in place
> and maters are now 5' tall and in despirate need of a trellis. Baby maters

I really love hearing about the successes of everyone on the list in
the warmer climates.
Melissa in Eugene.
