Time of day for watering appears to be a fine art and I hear all manner of advice on this one thing alone. But am not sure of the best solution. > > Thanks for your help, > CK in dallas > Regarding the heat. I live at 5000 feet in Western Colorado and we get intense heat in the day and cool nights. I use a lot of cheesecloth to protect the plants that burn up. I was surprised at items that said "full sun" but were much happier where they got the shade of a bigger plant. I'm going to try Reemay and see how it works. It was recommended by some folks in Telluride, farming at 9000 feet. Has anyone had experience with this material? I also water in the early am or late evening. I'm testing out some weeping hoses to see the the watering is more efficient. PS I'm hooked on herbs, have started and herb garden with 50 different species. I love to touch and smell them. *************************************************************************** To unsubscribe, send to: listserv@umslvma.umsl.edu the body message: unsubscribe sqft See http://www.umsl.edu/~silvest/garden/sqft.html for archive, FAQ and more.
