I know there was a message about ants going around, but as I am new to
the list, I think I may have missed the information I am in need of. I
have an ant (carpenter) problem. My garden is primarily pepper and
tomatoe plants. I have noticed in the last couple of days that I now
have aphids all over the undersides of my jalepeno plant leaves. Theses
plants were all purchased at a local nursery (as I got a late start
building my raised beds at our new house). There are also some very
very tiny (smaller than gnats) crawling around in the compost layered on
top of the soil. I don't know much about insect control. Any
suggestions how to control or (if I need to) get rid of these little
critters? I would prefer an organic way as there are already several
peppers and tomatoes growing.
I know the partner planting technique and have put in seveal onions and
a few marigolds. So far, they don't seem to be doing the job.
Thanks in advance.
