Sheryl: Your problem with the tomatillo mirrors my experience last year. I put in one plant and it took over about 4 square feet. It was awesome! Hundreds and hundreds of pretty little yellow flowers; bees all over it. I got nothing--not one beginning of a tomatillo. I even went out and tried pollinating some of the flowers myself. Nothing. I sent a similar post to yours last year, but no one seems to know. I thought possibly you need more than one plant, but some one wrote that she regularly planted just one. Then I thought that maybe it was the Rhode Island weather, but people in Pennsylvania and New Jersey with similar temps had success. Please let me know if you ever find out--I have a small garden and don't want to waste space on a non-producer! Linda [in RI where we finally got some rain thanks to Danny] *************************************************************************** To unsubscribe, send to: listserv@umslvma.umsl.edu the body message: unsubscribe sqft See http://www.umsl.edu/~silvest/garden/sqft.html for archive, FAQ and more.
