Update on : My zucchini is wilting

Hi all,

I just wanted to thank everyone who answered my question about why my
zucchini was wilting. Last weekend I finally pulled up my zucchini
plant(sob), but, before I threw it away I decided to break open the stem
and see what was inside. What a disgusting sight! The inside of that
poor plant was infested with larva(squash vine borer?), I really don't
know what I was expecting but it surely wasn't that! Those things looked
like the worms that you find in a Tequila bottle except that these must
have been on steroids<grin>!! They were obviously eating quite well
because they were very fat,(sob, sob) my poor zucchini didn't stand a
chance.
Well, enough crying over losing those delicious zukes, I replanted some
more seeds and am hoping that I will actually get a zuke or two before
the frosts come.

Thanks again for the help,
Richard(zucchiniless in zone 6)
