I have two squares of pole beans growing beautifully but they have no
beans on them, does anyone know what I did wrong? The plants are lush
and green and very tall but no beans. Any help is greatly appreciated.

We were doing well until the heat wave...maybe they just got tooo hot to set.
Our beans got woody and very stringy then stopped setting. We are also
having trouble with our peppers(only 1 fruit out of 6 plants) but we HAVE
finally harvested our 1st Brandywine tomatoes(great taste but look funny-cat
faces) and even a couple bunches of carrots and green onions. On the whole
this is just not a good year(especially compared to last year).
