Bonnie,
You've added a lot of stuff to your soil. Generally if stuff is bolting
to seed I would blame your particular microclimate, however it would
still be a good idea to get your soil tested by the local ag. extension
service. If there is something lacking or out of balance in the soil,
they can tell you definitively.
