What to plant now

I lost the email, but someone in the Austin area
asked what vegetables could be planted now. I
looked up Austin (Region 3) in Howard Garrett's
vegetable book and he says that the following can
be direct seeded now for a fall crop:

Tomatoes
Peppers
Eggplant

The following can be direct seeded August 1:

Southern Peas
Pumpkin

Not much of a selection this time of year, but I
hope that helps.
