Mold can be a health problem, in confined quarters for long periods, or if
you are less than healthy....but generally it isn't a big deal, so you could
mulch with your straw if you wish (it will mold anyway eventually, right?)
Straw is a good cooling mulch; it is also an excellent brown ingredient in a
compost pile, so you can do either thang with it, with good chances of
success....
You can also use it to make a compost bin with, if you have lots---this is
Uncle Eliot's recommendation for perfect compost, to make it using straw and
other things in a straw bale bin....
So rejoice! And make your choice...:-)
