Has anyone else had the problem of summer squash rotting while they're
still little? I have had a really good harvest from my gold patty pan
squash plant, but I've been noticing that sometimes the little ones go
brown and rot. Is this related to Blossom End Rot on tomatoes? (ie
watering or calcium problems, or is they're something else I'm doing
wrong?) The squash plant has a 3x3' area right next to my 9 squares (5
plants in cages) of tomatoes that are having blossom end rot problems.
Kim, zone 9, so cal - sweltering in awful heat and HUMIDITY, something
we're definitely not used to around here. makes me really glad this is
not normally a humid climate. don't know how you guys take it! I'm
only able to garden from 6:30-8pm at night cause it's so hot at the
other times. Getting way behind on garden chores, so hope it cools down
soon. At least it's cooling down somewhat at night.
