Re: shredder

has anyone used an electric shredder successful?  Don't they make
larger, more powerful ones?

We have a gas powered shredder from Sears as well.  It has worked
beautifully, except for one problem.  It requires maintenance, something
I know nothing about automotively speaking.  If you do have a gas
shredder make sure you at least start it up once a month, for if you
don't, the thing quits working.  It was quite expensive to get it
working again.  The repair man said that the gasoline goes bad in them
and the carburetors (I think) get plugged up unless you run the engine
at least once a month. 

So do those of you with gas shredders do anything in particular to them
to keep them operating?

clippings and prunings
