Zucchinni

Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html

Hi all,

I have yet to harvest a zucchinni, due first of all, to powdery mildew (which
now seems to be under control) and second, to the fact that while some little
fruit have formed, when they get about 2" long they turn yellow and shrivel
up. I know someone said earlier that could be due to inadequate
pollination, however, I've got plenty of bees and plenty of blooms. Is it
possible that the hot (95+) weather for the last 3 weeks is causing it? At
this point should I just pull up the plants and give up on them, or should I
wait for the weather to cool down in hopes they might still produce? (Around
here a "cool down" could be six weeks away!) Should I plant new plants and
hope for a fall harvest?

Thanks,
Juliana
