Terrific! Thanx a million, Doreen. I grew up next door in Indiana, where
the tomatoes just taste super good. I think the vines benefit from the
slightly cooler nights of the Midwest, compared to here in DC, where it's
like living in a hot, wet washrag between June 1 and October 1.

Where do you suppose he came up with "Stoo" for part of the name?
Wagner must have given a supply to the Am Hort Soc for the seed
giveaway. I don't know as how I've seen it in any catalogs. I call it a
"trick tomato," but it does have useful applications. Seems resistant to
early and late blight, both of which typically show up in gardens here. I
don't recollect seeing a single damaged leaf or blemished fruit on my
Schimmeigs (OK I'll adopt your spelling) back in '94.

Excellent!

P.S. I'm a member of Seed Savers Exchange, but somehow I didn't realize
they had any retail outlets. Is the Madison, WI, store the only one?
