>Where do you suppose he came up with "Stoo" for part of the name?
Schimmeig Stoo is a Manx name. Tom's father or grandfather (can't remember
which) came from the Isle of Mann, and Tom wanted to honor him. The words
mean "striped hollow" in Manx.

They only have the one retail outlet in Madison, WI. It is run by Kent and
Diane Whealy's son Aaron Whaley (he spells his last name like the old family
spelling to set himself apart). It is a wonderful store filled with all the
SSE products, This Old House heirloom bulbs, Wood Prairie Farms seed
potatoes and garlic and much more, including implements and garden furniture
made by Amish artisians. I don't think there are plans for more retail
stores. The current push is to develop the web site for more retail
commerce.
