Is the yellowing beginning at the bottom or at the top of the plant?  If at 
the top, it could be iron deficiency.  If yellowing starts at the bottom, 
that sounds more like nitrogen deficiency. If sort of all over, it could be 
magnesium deficiency.  Irish Eyes sells the Simplot Potato Field Manual 
with excellent photos of potato problems for about $7. If you're a potato 
grower, I'd highly recommend it. (Simplot is the guy who corrals spuds for 
McDonalds french fries and other commercial ventures...) Margaret L
