Re: Broccoli going to flower

That's it: It was too cold, and your broccoli was vernalized -- that's the
expression for "blooming too early", in your case.

Some plants never bloom without vernalization, they need cold temperatures.
For heading cabbage and kolerabi or lettuce, this is not desirable for the
"product", but you need that to get seed. In your "broccoli case", yes,
you had to harvest them a few weeks ago, or you should have to plant them
later next time. Or did you try "sprouting broccoli"?
