Re: Clover in lawn and as cover crop

Not really.  You can hand pull them (and eat some of them -- dandelions are
tasty in early spring and VERY healthful).  You can apply corn gluten meal
(Amaizing Lawn, or Without Weeds), which suppresses seed germination of all
types but will not affect perennials.  You can spray straight vinegar, which
will kill the weed (spray carefully -- it'll kill good things too).  You can
apply compost and get your grass growing well enough that many weeds can't
compete.  Or you can learn to appreciate a lawn that isn't a monoculture.
 But since the grass is around your veggie garden, I don't think it would be
wise to use any chemical herbicides -- you don't want them drifting into the
veggies and killing them, nor do you want to poison your family when you eat
the produce either.
