What do I do > to achieve my goal? > Another thing you can do is make old-fashioned "lavendar bottles" for use as sachets. Cut an uneven number of stalks with full heads and stems about 12" long. Using 1//4" ribbon tie the bundle together close to the flower head so that you have one long end of the ribbon and one about 6 inches long. Bend the stems back up over the heads and then use the long end of the ribbon to weave in and out of the stems from the knot up to the top of the heads. Keep the weaving ribbon snug and flat with the edges close to each other. When you reach the end of the flower heads tied the ribbon around the stem bundle and trim for appearance. At this point you can cut the stems to within an inch or two of the "bottle" or leave them longer. Hope this is clear enough to understand. Don't have a pic file to send but if it is not clear let me know and I will try making a sketch and send you a scan. *************************************************************************** To unsubscribe, send to: listserv@umslvma.umsl.edu the body message: unsubscribe sqft See http://www.umsl.edu/~silvest/garden/sqft.html for archive, FAQ and more.
