Dear SQFTr's,
Unnamed is somewhat correct. I do not spray the foliage of my plants,
if that is what foliar application means. The only time my plants ever
get sprayed, since it doesn't rain much here, is when they have a
problem I can't fight any other way. In fact I would call what I do
a soil application instead, as I water the base of each plant with
a fish emulsion or kelp meal or seaweed solution according to the
directions on the bottle. Usually 1 tbsp. per gallon. This is
a pretty weak feeding compared to 1/4 c. of vegetable fertilizer. I
do this every other week. I use no other fertilizer or compost during
their growing season, except what was originally put in the bed for
planting.
